Natural Herbs for ADHD

ADHD or you may also know it as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a behavioral disorder that affects about 8% of school age children. It can be helped naturally with herbs for ADHD. Boys are more likely to be diagnosed with it than girls, but the reason behind that is unknown. Children with ADHD act without thinking, are hyperactive and may have trouble focusing.

There has been lots of research that has shown a coordination failure in the reticular activating system of the brain. This part of the brain helps to adjust external stimulus. Norepinephrine, a chemical produced in the brain, carries information between two regions. While this is happening some areas remain active while others are inhibited allowing one to focus on the task at hand. Herbs for ADHD can keep that Norepinephrine in check and help your child remain focused.

With ADHD the neural coordination is impaired, causing stimulation overload. With too much stimulation the ability to focus becomes too much. Usually resulting in irritation, aggression and anxiety. There are are the conventional treatment with psycho stimulants or antidepressant drugs but over time they can become ineffective and can cause frustration and anger. Luckily there is another alternative that is safe and free of drugs with herbs for ADHD.

Below is a list of herbs for ADHD that are shown to be effective in treating this disorder.  They balance the brain chemistry without the side effects of conventional medication.
